Designing Your Lead Magnet To Influence Podcast Listeners To Become Clients
I have mentioned how important it is for you to trade your name and e-mail address for some perceived high value by using a lead magnet. The whole process is designed to get your Podcast listeners to decide to have a relationship with you. A well-designed landingpage or lead magnet is used to achieve this method.
For that to happen I will describe in a little more detail the five items in your magnet.
Here are the five items that you have to offer:
- Make a particular commitment to solve a particular problem and do it for a particular category of individual.
For example, I’ve made use of my “Podcast Production Checklist” and told people that you’re going to have your podcast up and running when you complete the list!
What is the promise: You will follow this checklist and your podcast will work.
What’s the one problem: someone wants a balloon, but doesn’t know how.
What kind of person does this mean: someone who wants to start a podcast.
Note: not available podcasters. It doesn’t refer to bloggers. It’s not for diving, etc.
It’s for a small segment of the market and solves one problem.
It makes you one promise: follow the checklist and your podcast will work.
- Support the individual buy by following the success path.
Offer them high value, that means.
Provide them with additional educational tools.
Offer them more testimony from those you helped.
In the eyes of your future buyer, it builds trust and value.
- Make sure you deliver something that the consumer sees as high in value.
That’s what they were searching for. That’s what they need. Anything that can be used instantly.
- Immediate incentives that can quickly be enforced.
Provide a quick win to them. Give them something that they can see with. Don’t give them 29 1-hour videos in 1997!
You have to give them something that they can access instantly and absorb quickly.
With my checklist, you can quickly complete the first few steps and almost instantly view the results.
- Tell them the next thing to do!
This is the “take action” step and is generally a “receiving your report here” or equivalent (as far as your bid is concerned).
Keep it clear. Use it on the button (so there are not long phrases! Just a few words).
You will find that the number of people entering the list increases when you add these five things to your landing page or lead magnet. More people on your list means that more people will be linked to you. The more customers you can do it, the more business you create.
You can guide your listeners to a specific URL on their website by talking about this deal on your podcast. The URL to your Display Notes may also be added. Remember, your listeners can take action very quickly! You’ll miss so many moves.
