Mike Phelan Salary: Michael Christopher Phelan (born 24 September 1962) is a professional English football coach and former player who is currently Manchester United’s assistant manager. Phelan moved into coaching following the end of his playing career.

Before joining Megson to Blackpool and then Stockport County, he first took a place as Gary Megson’s assistant at his former club, Norwich City.

Phelan was employed by another former club, Manchester United, after Megson left Stockport, taking over as the assistant manager of the club’s reserve team. He was elevated to become Alex Ferguson’s first-team head coach two years later and succeeded Carlos Queiroz as Ferguson’s assistant manager in 2008.
