Mike Phelan Salary: Michael Christopher Phelan (born September 24, 1962) is an English professional football coach and a former player who is currently the assistant manager of Manchester United. After finishing his career, Phelan moved to management.

He first took up the position as an assistant to Gary Megson at his former club, Norwich City, before going to Blackpool to follow Megson and to County Stockport.

After Megson left Stockport, Phelan had been appointed as assistant manager of the reserve team by another former club Manchester United. He was promoted to the chief first-team coach for Alex Ferguson, two years later, and succeeded Carlos Queiroz as the assistant management officer for Ferguson in 2008.
