Zack Snyder Daughter Death: The director shared sad news when he announced he was leaving the film after the killing of his 20-year-old daughter Autumn, who was dead by suicide. The film which was scheduled for opening on 17 Nov 2017, took place for two weeks in a row following the tragedy. The film, which was to open on 17 Nov 2017, was about to be shot at the end of the day.
Though Snyder returned originally, Joss Whedon started the rest of the film so that Snyder would be able to deal with the loss. Snyder revealed why he would not continue with the film in a new interview with Cinemablend Sean O’Connell. “I just was kind of done with it. I was in this place of [knowing] my family needs me more than this bulls—-, and I just need to honor them and do the best I can to heal that world,” Snyder said.
The director reported that in 2017, the director was stepping away in mid-filming after the death of his twenty-year-old daughter, Autumn, who was killed in suicide. “I had no energy to fight [the studio] and to fight. The film, which was scheduled for a two-week break after the tragedy, was opened on 17 November 2017.
